How to use your eyelash curler properly?

The instructions for use are not exactly clear when you buy an eyelash curler (if they even exist). This little device that seems to be dedicated to torture, will only be one if you don't know how to use it. In order to avoid pain, there are a few rules to follow:

• The eyelash curler should always be used before applying mascara! It is very important, and unfortunately we are too often tempted to do it after... Why is it better to avoid this? Because mascara weighs down the eyelash and stiffens it, in which case it becomes even more fragile and likely to break under the pressure of the eyelash curler...

• We start by combing these eyelashes using a small brush (the brush of an old mascara for example), in order to separate them.

• We prepare our eyelash curler by heating it beforehand using a hair dryer, the hot metal softens the hair, acts as a fixative and also prevents broken eyelashes! (Like the plates that straighten hair).

• Take your eyelash curler in hand, making sure to take the eyelashes as close to the root as possible (without pinching) and above all to cover the entire fringe.
• Pinch the eyelash fringe of each eye for about 10 seconds.

• Apply your coats of mascara (without overdoing it, watch out for clumps) and there you have curled, lengthened eyelashes and a magnified look!
