Comme son nom l’indique, le rehaussement est une technique qui consiste à lifter les cils pour leur donner une courbe naturelle sans l’action du recourbe cil ou du mascara ! En institut, la spécialiste utilise d'abord un petit patch en silicone qu’elle place au-dessus de la paupière supérieure à la base des cils (comme montré ci-dessous). Les cils y sont collés à l’aide d’une colle spéciale et prennent ainsi la courbure désirée.

How long does an eyelash enhancement procedure take?

A lash enhancement session takes around 45 minutes. Some beauty salons also offer lash tinting for a stunning mascara effect on upper lashes. In these cases, we add fifteen minutes to the time count.

How long does eyelash enhancement last?

Lash enhancement lasts between 6 and 8 weeks. That's much longer than for extensions. Of course, this time is only an indication, but it can vary completely from one person to another. As always!

What's the difference between eyelash enhancement and eyelash extensions?

Eyelash enhancement is a chemical process that improves the direct appearance of eyelashes without adding bulk. This is quite different from the classic eyelash extension procedure, in which false lashes are added to existing lashes to make them fuller. Eyelash extensions are best suited to those with sparse lashes.

Extensions are fragile, requiring special care and, above all, regular touch-ups, as the first strands can fall out after 10 days. Retouching is then mandatory if you want to keep a beautiful bouquet garni... Indeed, it's not uncommon to find yourself with a hole in your lashes as soon as the first extensions decide to fall out! It's a question you have every right to ask yourself before taking the plunge into eyelash enhancement... Is there a risk of partial or total lash loss? No. If the application is carried out according to the rules of the art, using approved products and the right techniques, there is no risk of losing your lashes.
