PRIVACY POLICY

----

ARTICLE 1 – PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED

When you make a purchase from our store, as part of our buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you provide to us, such as your name, address, and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer's Internet Protocol address (IP address), which allows us to obtain more details about the browser and operating system you are using.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, and other updates.

ARTICLE 2 - CONSENT

How do you obtain my consent?

When you provide us with your personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange a delivery, or return a purchase, we assume that you consent to our collecting your information and using it for that purpose only.

If we ask you to provide your personal information for another reason, such as for marketing purposes, we will ask you directly for your explicit consent, or give you the opportunity to refuse.

How can I withdraw my consent?

If, after giving us your consent, you change your mind and no longer consent to our contacting you, collecting your information, or disclosing it, you may notify us by contacting us at Contact@rosegoldparis.com

ARTICLE 3 – DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law or if you violate our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use.

ARTICLE 4 – SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our services and products to you.

Your data is stored in Shopify's data storage system and databases, and in Shopify's general application. Your data is kept on a secure server protected by a firewall.

Payment:

If you make your purchase through a direct payment gateway, Shopify will store your credit card information. This information is encrypted in accordance with the data security standard established by the payment card industry (PCI-DSS standard). Information relating to your purchase transaction is retained for as long as necessary to complete your order. Once your order has been completed, information relating to the purchase transaction is deleted.

All direct payment gateways comply with the PCI-DSS standard, managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which results from the joint effort of companies such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

The requirements of the PCI-DSS standard ensure the secure processing of credit card data by our store and its service providers.

For more information, please refer to Shopify's Terms of Use here or Privacy Policy here.

ARTICLE 5 – SERVICES PROVIDED BY THIRD PARTIES

Generally, the third-party providers we use will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to enable them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase transactions.

With respect to these providers, we recommend that you carefully read their privacy policies so that you can understand how they will handle your personal information.

Please remember that some providers may be located in, or have facilities located in, a jurisdiction different from yours or ours. Therefore, if you decide to proceed with a transaction that requires the services of a third-party provider, your information may then be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which that provider is located or those of the jurisdiction in which its facilities are located.

For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed through a payment gateway located in the United States, information about you used to complete the transaction may be disclosed under United States law, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store's website or are redirected to a third party's website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or by the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use of our website.

Links

You may be directed away from our website by clicking on certain links on our site. We assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of these other sites and recommend that you read their privacy policies carefully.

ARTICLE 6 – SECURITY

To protect your personal data, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure that it is not improperly lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, it will be encrypted using SSL and stored with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional standards generally recognized by the industry.
COOKIES

Here is a list of cookies we use. We have listed them here so that you have the option to choose whether or not to allow them.

_session_id, unique session identifier, allows Shopify to store information related to your session (referrer, landing page, etc.).

_shopify_visit, no data retained, persists for 30 minutes from the last visit. Used by our website provider's internal statistics tracking system to record the number of visits.

_shopify_uniq, no data retained, expires at midnight (according to the visitor's location) the following day. Calculates the number of visits to a store by a unique customer.

cart, unique identifier, persists for 2 weeks, stores information related to your shopping cart.

_secure_session_id, unique session identifier

storefront_digest, unique identifier, undefined if the store has a password, used to determine whether the current visitor has access.

Tracking of email opens

As part of our email communications, some messages we send you may contain a tracking pixel. This pixel is a small invisible image embedded in the email that allows us to know whether it has been opened.

When used for marketing purposes - measuring the performance of our campaigns, personalizing the content of our communications, adjusting their frequency, or better understanding your interest in our emails - this tracking requires your prior, freely given, specific, and informed consent, just as cookies do.

This consent is collected [to be completed according to the actual mechanism: e.g., “when you sign up for our newsletter, via a dedicated checkbox” or “via our preference center”]. You may withdraw it at any time via the “Manage my preferences” page, accessible from our emails.

Withdrawing your consent to open tracking does not automatically unsubscribe you from our marketing communications: receiving an email and consenting to its tracking are two distinct things. You will therefore continue to receive our emails if you are still subscribed, without their opening being tracked.

You may also unsubscribe from our marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each of our emails.

Some pixels may also be used solely for deliverability purposes (for example, to identify inactive email addresses) or security purposes. These uses, strictly limited to these purposes, do not require your prior consent.

ARTICLE 7 – AGE OF CONSENT

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and that you have given us your consent to allow any minor in your care to use this website.

ARTICLE 8 – CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their publication on the website. If we make changes to the content of this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you know what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it, if applicable.

If our store is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we can continue selling products to you.

ARTICLE 9 – MARKETING TEXT MESSAGES AND NOTIFICATIONS (if applicable)

By entering your phone number at checkout and initiating a purchase, subscribing through our subscription or a keyword, you agree that we may send you SMS notifications (for your order, including abandoned cart reminders) and SMS marketing offers. Marketing text messages will not exceed 10 per month. You may unsubscribe from any other text messages by clicking the unsubscribe link. Sending text messages or using automations requires you to provide phone numbers or recipient names to our importer. We will store and use this data to show you campaign analytics and results, including message delivery status, sending status, and, in some cases, whether the purchase resulted in a sale. If you decide to use our link shortener in text messages, we will collect information on whether the link was clicked and use it to display the results in your analytics. For any other third-party service you may decide to use outside the scope of smsbump.com (third-party link shortener, GA tracking, etc.), you will be referred to their specific third-party policies, which you must accept. When sending text messages, we will transmit the data to our text message operator to deliver them. Information is shared with our operator only when a marketing campaign is initiated. If your recipients no longer wish to receive messages, they must reply to the message with STOP or contact us at the email address below so that we can successfully unsubscribe them.

QUESTIONS AND CONTACT INFORMATION

If you wish to access, correct, modify, or delete any personal information we have about you, file a complaint, or simply obtain more information, contact our privacy compliance officer at Contact@rosegoldparis.com or by mail at Rosegold Paris
