All our tips for deeply moisturized hands

All our tips for deeply moisturized hands

Coralie Techer

How to care for damaged hands?

We have all the good reasons in the world to take care of our hands.

1/ Hand scrub: what for?

Nos mains sont ultra-sollicitées, elles s'abîment et s'assèchent très facilement. Heureusement avec des petits gestes comme l’exfoliation, on peut rapidement leur redonner éclat et douceur. Un gommage régulier permettra :

  • Get rid of dead skin.
  • Reinforces the moisturizing effect of hand cream.
  • Prevent the appearance of brown spots.
  • Refine skin texture.

Which scrub to choose?

It's best to opt for a scrub specially designed for your skin type. It's best to avoid exfoliating with aggressive formulas.

To prepare a homemade scrub (and find out what's in it):

  • A teaspoon of sugar or coffee grounds (for exfoliation)
  • A teaspoon of olive oil (for a softening effect)
  • A teaspoon of honey of your choice (for better hydration)

2/ How to moisturize dry hands?

For young, beautiful, nourished hands, moisturizing is a necessary step! You can opt for rich materials like shea butter or vegetable oils like olive oil, rich in oleic acid, which is ultra-beneficial for the skin. How do you do it? Simply pour a small amount into the palm of your hands, and massage it in for a long time to help the active ingredients penetrate the skin.

Bon à savoir : l’huile de coco aussi est une huile excellente, riche en vitamines A et E ainsi qu’en acide laurique, e même elle a l’avantage d'être légère et pénètre facilement dans l'épiderme de votre peau.

If you choose a cream from a supermarket, drugstore or other source, it's important to pay close attention to its composition so as to respect your skin as much as possible!

Controversial ingredients to avoid when purchasing cream include :

  • "BHT: An endocrine disruptor that irritates eyes, skin and lungs. It is generally used in place of BHA, another endocrine disruptor classified as a probable carcinogen by the IARC.
  • "Formaldehyde: in high doses, this ingredient can be carcinogenic to humans. According to health authorities, it can be used in small quantities.
NB : It should be noted that in sensitive people, it can irritate or even damage the skin.
  • "Phenoxythanol ": Phenoxyethanol is considered toxic to the blood and liver by many safety organizations, including the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM).

In general, the French organization advises against the use of this ingredient in cosmetic products. But be careful when abroad!

Our selection of natural masks for better skin hydration

Our hands bear the full brunt of external aggression. To preserve their youthfulness, it's important to moisturize them deeply and regularly with a hand mask.

Natural mask to nourish hands:

Olive oil is our number 1 friend! Known for its skin-nourishing and healing properties, olive oil can be paired with an essential oil for even greater effectiveness. Lavender oil, for example, is even more purifying and softening. This magical, leave-on mask will have a rejuvenating effect on the skin, for brand-new hands in no time!

How do I apply it?

In a bowl: add one egg yolk, 2 drops of lavender essential oil, three tablespoons of olive oil, and one tablespoon of honey.

This mask can be applied twice a month to dry hands. Leave the mixture to work for around 20 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.

How do you fade brown spots?

The older we get, the more our skin tends to lose elasticity. Wrinkles take over, and pigmentation spots begin to appear on surfaces such as the hands.

These famous spots are partly due to prolonged exposure to the sun. UV rays are the primary cause of premature skin aging. Not forgetting the genetic factor, which plays a very important role. As a result, brown spots can appear earlier or later, depending on the individual.

Natural masks to fade brown spots:

  • A fruit-based mask: rubstains with a piece of pineapple. Leave to dry. Then rinse and apply moisturizer or argan oil.
  • A cider vinegar mask: mix equal amounts of water and cider vinegar. Apply this mask in the evening. Repeat twice a week.
  • A parsley-based mask: boil parsley and leave to cool. Soak a cotton pad and leave on hands for ten minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

Taking care of your nails:

Fingernails are the charm of our hands. That's why it's essential to take good care of them.

For beautiful, healthy nails, it's important to choose nail polishes based on natural ingredients that are environmentally friendly and healthy.

From time to time, it's a good idea to pamper them by massaging in castor oil (fortifies) for invigorated, nourished nails.

Which vegetable oil for beautiful nails?

  • Sweet almond oil: a repairing, regenerating oil, its rich vitamin E content accelerates cellular repair.
  • L’huile de ricin: elle est connue pour accélérer la repousse des cheveux mais des ongles aussi.

Take breaks between polishes:

We all want to have perfect nails all the time. But just like our skin, our nails also need to breathe! It's essential to let them breathe and avoid manicure after manicure. Doing so will have the opposite effect: brittle, yellowed nails, and in the worst cases, nails that fall off!

Use acetone-free solvents:

Why avoid acetone-based solvents? To begin with, it's important to understand what acetone is. It's a solvent whose degreasing effect is used to dissolve nail varnish resins... but also glues and paints! It's used in various industries such as the automotive sector.

Very harmful, it destroys the lipidic film that protects and nourishes our nails. Acetone brings nails into direct contact with external aggressors. The result? Brittle, split and dry nails.

On the other hand, acetone-free nail polish remover contains ethyl acetate, which also has a degreasing effect, but is less aggressive. It gently removes nail polish while leaving the nail naturally protected.

How to disinfect your hands gently?

With the covid health crisis, it's essential to keep your hands clean. Unfortunately, most hydroalcoholic gels on the market dry out and damage hands. ROSEGOLD has found the solution with "ROSECLEAN", a nourishing lotion with antiseptic properties!

Our lotion is enriched with organic sunflower oil, very rich in omega-6 (linoleic acid), an essential active ingredient that deeply moisturizes while strengthening cells against external aggression. This prodigious oil is known for its high vitamin E content with antioxidant properties, destroying free radicals and protecting cells against sun exposure. The plus? This lotion has a pleasant rose scent!

ROSECLEAN is a fast, effective antibacterial solution with a light, non-sticky texture:

  • Eliminates 99% of bacteria.
  • Provides 80% hydration.
  • Three times faster cell regeneration.
Nourishing lotion - ROSECLEAN

Its pocket-size format makes it easy to carry and clean hands in any situation.

Why our lotion and not another?

Our moisturizing lotion stands out for its composition. In our French laboratory, we take the time to choose the right ingredients, and our product is not considered a "biocide" in Europe.
