- The eyelash curler should always be used before applying mascara! This is very important, and unfortunately, we are too often tempted to use it afterward... Why is it better to avoid this? Because mascara weighs down and stiffens the lashes, making them even more fragile and likely to break under the pressure of the eyelash curler...
- Start by combing the lashes with a small spoolie brush (an old mascara brush, for example) to separate them.
- Prepare the eyelash curler by heating it beforehand with a hairdryer. The warm metal softens the lash hair, acts as a setter, and also helps prevent broken lashes! (Just like hair straighteners).
