What if we meditated for beautiful skin?

What if we meditated for beautiful skin?

Coralie Techer

meditation - roseblog

Mediation has been considered a miracle practice for thousands of years. Renowned for its benefits on the mind and physical ailments, can it also have an effect on our beauty? How and why? Let's take stock.

In a world that is disrupted, stressed and neurotic, meditation is offered to many as a saving way out. It must be said that the practice of this ancestral art works wonders. Both on the psychological and physical state of those who are adept at it. In addition to the well-being aspect that is very present when we talk about meditation, for a few years now we have also been talking about its almost magical effect on our beauty.

Meditation to reconnect with your inner self

Much more than a fad adored by stars and other trendy influencers, meditation is above all an ancestral practice practiced for thousands of years by beings in search of inner truth. The principle stated is simple: a mindful breathing exercise that leads to rest for the body and soul. In practice, it is something else because meditation is above all a matter of extreme concentration. A difficult thing for our current world which is bathed in an atmosphere that is far too dynamic (often in the bad sense of the term). On the health side, various studies have repeatedly proven that the meditative state drastically reduces stress, anxiety and depression. Overall, meditation helps improve your mood, erase surrounding parasitic thoughts in order to focus on yourself. The ideal remedy for the illness of the century?

What are its recognized effects on metabolism?

Mindfulness meditation is an excellent way to regain physical balance. The concentration it requires lowers blood pressure, improves memory and boosts the immune system. Even more surprising, meditation reduces pain. The University of California is following up on a study in which it tested 12 controls. Half of them practice meditation regularly and were significantly less receptive to pain than the half who never or hardly ever practice it. Another rather striking fact is that meditation practiced intensively would modify (positively) the human epigenome. What is it? The epigenome can be translated as a sort of element that modifies the reading of the genetic code by cells, by modifying the DNA. This intervention can have various consequences. If it is due to stress for example, it could have a negative effect. However, if meditation comes into play, these modifications can be completely reversed and in a positive way… They would even act on the cells of aging by stopping their progression. Could the fountain of youth have always been within our reach?

How can meditation boost our beauty?

As you will have understood, meditation is a real source of well-being for the human body and mind. In itself, it can simply be considered a beauty booster. This makes sense when we know that our physique is generally altered by stress, anxiety, fear, fatigue or even bad eating habits and addictions… Meditation (practiced regularly) is radical in terms of human behavioral disorders. The practice allows us to remove all traces of anxiety in us. With this first point (and not the least), the result is relaxed features (goodbye forced wrinkles), more regular breathing and improved blood oxygenation (better cell regeneration!)… Science is getting involved and even lending credence to meditation. Indeed, expert dermatologists reveal and attest that meditation has an incredible power on cell regeneration. Regular (even daily) practice of meditation would limit cell oxidation. Thanks to controlled breathing, blood circulates better in the body and allows for a luminous complexion... The state of calm created by this moment of introspection promotes restful sleep, resulting in a more toned body, more radiant skin (goodbye dark circles) and a stronger mind to fight against addictions such as caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. All three are known to be harmful to our beauty... So, who's up for it?
