The best techniques for eyebrow restructuring

The best techniques for eyebrow restructuring

Coralie Techer

For clean and well-defined eyebrows, we think about restructuring! What is it? How to get it? We take stock.

Because they play a major role in the harmony of the face, eyebrows should be the focus of attention when it comes to our care! However, it is not always easy to have the clean, well-defined line we dream of. Due to genetics or maintenance concerns, they can sometimes be sparse, too short or simply not very full. To rebalance all this, there are now different techniques, accessible to all budgets.

What is eyebrow restructuring?

Let's start by putting things in context, an eyebrow restructuring consists of giving a clean and precise line to sparse eyebrows , those that have been left to do their own thing a little too much. The practitioner will then pluck the line so that it is in total harmony with the facial features but also the personality of the client. A restructuring is done in a classic way with tweezers, however, some people simply do not have enough hair at the line level to allow the desired eyebrow shape. Don't panic, in this case the world of beauty always finds a solution!

What are the different eyebrow restructuring techniques?

the classic: with tweezers

Eyebrow waxing is the classic hair removal technique and also the simplest and quickest to do in a salon. How does it work? The practitioner will first make a diagnosis by assessing the condition of the original eyebrows. Thin, too thick, sparse or short eyebrows? After this precise diagnosis, she will suggest different shapes that the client will be able to appreciate thanks to a drawing made in pencil on her original eyebrows.

Then comes the action. Equipped with her tweezers, the practitioner will proceed with the meticulous hair removal that will allow the line to find or regain the desired shape. Just a few minutes are enough for the magic to happen! The session can end with makeup that will accentuate the desired effect. If you are not familiar with the gesture, you can ask the practitioner to show you the different stages of makeup so that you can reproduce it at home.

Microblading

This is a much more thoughtful technique. Microblading semi-permanently changes the appearance of the eyebrow by redrawing it using a scalpel impregnated with pigments. It's a way to no longer have to worry about it in the morning when you wake up! The result is very natural eyebrows and lasts about 1 year before having to do touch-ups to regain the original result.

Microshading

Like its cousin practice microblading, microshading is a semi-permanent process that will really give the illusion of powdered eyebrow makeup. Unlike the first technique, the pigments will be applied using a kind of needle that will dab them under the first superficial layer of the skin. Microshading will last less time than microblading.

Browlift

It is an aesthetic technique applied by products designed to hold the eyebrow hairs in a particular shape. The idea of this technique is generally to give an arched shape (like a Circumflex Accent) to eyebrows that have difficulty being naturally arched. This shape is particularly appreciated because it has the gift of enlarging the eye and therefore offering a more awake look. The browlift should be redone approximately once a month.

Henna or dye

Eyebrow tinting is a great way to keep your eyebrows looking sharp and defined. Rather than a restructuring technique, it is a way to enhance the work done by the specialist. Tinting helps to keep a sharp shape, which makes touch-up hair removal at home easier!

How to maintain your eyebrows after restructuring?

It's quite simple, at home we scrutinize the regrowth meticulously in order to remove with tweezers the small hairs that protrude too much from the line defined by the restructuring. To avoid ruining the professional's work, we avoid at all costs removing more than necessary!

Bonus -> Good tips for successful eyebrow makeup

To perfect the restructuring, we can obviously have fun making up our eyebrows. For this, we can continue to use our usual products, pencil, eyeshadow, etc. Making up our eyebrows can be scary, if the action is missed it can quickly break the harmony of the face and ruin the work of the restructuring, to not miss it, here are some foolproof steps and tips:

The different steps to follow

1 - Brush your eyebrow downwards.

Before applying your makeup, brush the eyebrow hairs downward to remove any irregularities that need to be filled in.

2 - Apply your pencil or eyeshadow.

Apply your eyebrow makeup as discreetly as possible, out of the question of ending up with caterpillars above your eyes. To keep a natural effect, simply draw small hatchings using your eyebrow pencil, from the head to the tail of the line.

3 - Fix everything

Once the makeup is applied, we will set everything in order to keep the eyebrows on fleek all day long. How? Using a wax or gel that we brush on the eyebrow hairs, from bottom to top (for a browlift effect) using a brush.
