Day and night creams, suncare products, waxing kits and more. The vacation vanity has its own codes, and to make sure you don't forget anything, we've compiled a list of the summer essentials you'll need in your beauty kit.
Summer means vacation. And on vacation, our beauty routine inevitably changes, adapting to the nomadic life (or not) we're about to spend over the next few weeks. Although this notion may seem superficial, it's actually very important. Our skin doesn't go on vacation, and it's vital that we continue to pamper it and apply our usual face and body routine in summer.

Sun, sand, sea salt, invigorating mountain air, pollution from the big cities we visit and air travel can all take their toll! To avoid tired, worn-out skin at the start of the new school year, we make sure to include these essentials in our portable summer kit.

Cosmetic care essentials
If there were one line of products to pack at all costs, it would definitely be cosmetics. Face and body care are the number one step not to skip when packing your bags. Why? To keep your skin healthy, hydrated, and soft in all circumstances, regardless of your skin type!
We carefully list :
- an eye and face serum and a moisturizing day cream. To be applied before sun protection.
- Sunscreen. It's obvious, but it's always good to be reminded...
- A night moisturizer and a night serum. Refreshing after a long, sunny summer day, use your serum before your night cream.
- Floral water. It purifies and soothes skin that may have been damaged by the sun, and is the first step after washing the face.
- A dry body oil. Ideal for summer, it moisturizes without a greasy finish, leaving a satin finish on clean, golden skin.

- A light cream for hands and feet. Yes, it's summertime, but that doesn't mean you can't take care of your hands and feet, which will thank you. A light, fluid texture is preferable: in summer, the skin will absorb this type of product better.
- Deodorant. In fact, it's one of summer's must-haves: to prevent perspiration and unpleasant odors, deodorant is a must-have in your vanity! A good tip? If you don't want to bother with a deodorant, a pinch of baking soda on moistened armpits will do the trick for up to 24 hours! Caution: bicarbonate can be irritating, so to avoid redness, oil your armpits with coconut oil after each use).
- A face wash. Of course, pampered skin means cleansed skin, so if you don't have time to apply your daily layering on vacation, make sure your skin is clean all the same).
- A body scrub. There's no time like the present to remove dead skin! And a body scrub helps prolong your tan.
- After-sun. After-sun is essential for repairing skin that has spent hours under the scorching summer sun. It also helps to perfect your tan. Choose a gel texture to refresh the skin.
- A repairing cream for sunburns, you'll thank him...
To take up as little space as possible, all these cosmetic products are available in travel size! If floral water is not available in mini format, you can buy a small container (now readily available in supermarkets and specialized beauty stores) and pour your own amount of floral water into it. A pshitt you can take everywhere with you!

Make-up essentials
When you love make-up, you appreciate having all your equipment at hand (and sometimes it can take up a lot of space). On vacation, the watchword is "travel light"! To avoid having to lug around an entire makeup suitcase, we focus on the essentials.
We take with us :
- Foundation. In summer, we opt for CC cream, which is lighter than foundation. CC cream is defined as a tinted cream that applies a light tan to the face. It corrects redness and spots and evens out the complexion without smothering the skin. The plus? It can also be used as a skincare and sun protection product. In short, it has it all.
- Mascara. If you're looking for a light make-up look but still want to enlarge your eyes, you can't go without mascara! Choose a waterproof one to avoid the panda effect after an afternoon in the pool. The trick? Stretch lashes towards the outer corner of the eye for a stunning doe-eye effect. You can combine mascara application with an eyelash serum to boost lash growth and strengthen lashes, even in summer.

- Lip balm. Tinted or glossy, lip balm is our great summer friend. For a luscious, moisturized mouth with just the right amount of dewiness. We carry it everywhere for unexpected touch-ups!
- Bronzer. To accentuate an already golden tan, apply bronzer with a brush, respecting the famous rule of three - forehead, temples, jawline. The result is a deep tan and a healthy glow.
- Concealer. Or concealer, for those who really want the minimum, it's perfect for locally camouflaging small imperfections. Choose the color of your skin or a shade slightly below, and of course, don't apply it all over your face.)
- Make-up remover. Whichever you choose, but make-up remover remains an absolute must, even on vacation.
As with cosmetic skincare, summer make-up can also be found in mini format! It slips neatly into a small make-up bag, so you can carry it with you wherever you go.

Accessory essentials
Once cosmetics and make-up have been listed, it's time to think about accessories! Indispensable for a beauty makeover anytime, anywhere, they're a must. Here are just a few of the accessories we feel are essential to include in your beauty kit.
We absolutely list :
- The brush kit. When it comes to make-up, it would be a shame to forget your brush kit! Take the basics: a complexion brush, an eyeshadow brush and a powder brush. For complexion, you can also opt for a beauty blender.
- Dry shampoo. Considered an accessory, it can be indispensable! Dry shampoo gets your mane back into shape in no time (a spray on dirty hair before an impromptu picnic is perfect).
- Nail clippers. Ursula's nails in the middle of a Molki game? That's not going to be practical. To avoid damaging your summer manicure, make sure you take your nail clippers with you, and keep your nails to a reasonable length - well, the length that suits you personally, for a damage-free vacation!
- A nail file. It goes hand in hand with nail clippers.
- Make-up remover wipes. It can also be a glove or simply your fingers and a good vegetable oil.
- A quartz roller. This little must-have is very useful for plumping, smoothing and refreshing the skin. It's also a great way to let your skincare products sink in and relax after a hard day on the sun lounger.
We've listed our must-haves, but of course, everyone's beauty routine is different - the main thing is not to forget what makes us feel good!
